The Heartlands Project Cornwall

The Heartlands Project is a community-led vision to transform Cornwall’s most derelict urban area into a truly inspirational cultural landscape. It will celebrate our local traditions of innovation and creativity and help Pool to be a truly great place to live, work and play.

In November 2007 Cornwall’s Heartlands Project received £22.3million in funding from the Big Lottery Fund’s Living Landmarks programme, to transform the area of Pool. We were one of three projects in the UK to receive funding and the only project in England who were successful.
